Updated: Jul 9

Ocean Twp., NJ - On June 9th, 2024, Joseph L Boscia Jr aka TaxKing, co-founder of Cars & Social and a member of IAATO (Italian American Association of the Township of Ocean), hosted the annual Auto Show benefiting The Unterberg's Children Hospital in Long Branch, NJ. This year's event surpassed all expectations, raising over $12,000, a significant increase from previous years' totals of $8,000 to $10,000.

The Auto Show, now a prominent fixture in the community, saw a diverse array of vehicles, from American Muscle cars to luxury Bugatti's, lining up as early as 8 AM to secure prime parking spots. The atmosphere was vibrant and festive, with sponsors setting up booths and tents amidst enthusiastic early arrivals.

"We are incredibly grateful to all the sponsors whose generous donations and sponsorships made this event possible," said Boscia. "Their support has allowed us to exceed our fundraising goals and make a meaningful contribution to The Unterberg's Children Hospital." A list of sponsors and their contributions can be found here.

Participants and spectators were treated to Plaza House Coffee's mobile truck, ensuring everyone was energized throughout the day. Class Kills, a renowned DJ Entertainment Company, provided lively music and served as emcees, adding to the festive atmosphere. The US Marine Corp added an interactive element with their impressive Military Hummer and hosted a pull-up contest, engaging attendees of all ages.

Reflecting on the success of this year's Auto Show, Boscia expressed his gratitude to the community for their continued support. "It's heartening to see how this event has grown each year, bringing together car enthusiasts and community members for a worthy cause," he said.

Key volunteers Greg Frasca and Mike Mazza from IAATO worked tirelessly alongside Joseph Boscia Jr. to ensure smooth operations throughout the event. Dr. Jonathan E. Teitelbaum, MD, and his team from Unterberg's Children Hospital attended to speak about the impact of the funds raised, highlighting the event's significance in supporting children's healthcare needs. Eileen Dupey, the hospital's Development Manager, collaborated closely with Joseph from planning to execution, contributing to the event's overall success.

As the event concluded, attendees left with not only cherished memories but also the satisfaction of knowing they had contributed to improving the lives of children at The Unterberg's Children Hospital. For more information about the sponsors and how to support future events, visit Our Website.
