TaxKing’s 5th Annual Fundraiser Surpasses $25,000 Goal, Raising $27,000 for Local Children and Families
OCEANPORT, NJ — September 20, 2026 — Rain may have changed the car count, but it never slowed down the generosity.
Cars & Social’s 5th Annual TaxKing Fundraiser returned to Baseline Social at Fort Monmouth in Oceanport, bringing together the automotive community, local businesses, sponsors, healthcare professionals and supporters for a morning dedicated to giving back.
The fundraiser entered its fifth year with an ambitious goal: raise $25,000 to support The Unterberg Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center and its efforts to combat food insecurity.
By the end of the campaign, the Cars & Social community had done even more.
$27,000 Raised — Goal Surpassed
Despite steady rain impacting exotic-car attendance, supporters continued to show up, donate and participate throughout the morning.
The final total reached $27,000 in donations — surpassing the $25,000 goal and exceeding the previous year's fundraising total.
For Cars & Social, the result reinforced what the TaxKing Fundraiser has become after five years: an event where the cars may bring people together, but the community and the cause are what matter most.
A Rainy Morning That Didn't Stop the Community
While the weather kept some exotic cars home, there was still an impressive line of exotics parked outside Baseline Social as guests arrived.
Inside and underneath the venue's covered outdoor areas, supporters were able to stay dry, enjoy breakfast and coffee, socialize and learn more about the cause their donations were supporting.
A major part of making the morning possible was Baseline Social, which generously provided Cars & Social with full access to the Oceanport venue and supplied hot breakfast sandwiches for guests.
Baseline Social was also one of the event's Platinum Sponsors.
The United States Marines also came out in force, arriving in uniform alongside military vehicles and adding an especially memorable presence to the morning.
Rev & Roast Coffee set up its mobile coffee service and donated its time and services, serving guests hot and iced coffee along with specialty drinks throughout the event. Rev & Roast was recognized as a Silver Sponsor of the fundraiser.
The support from businesses willing to donate not only financially, but also through their venues, products, services and time, was a major part of the fundraiser's success.
The Reason Behind the Fundraiser
Representatives from The Unterberg Children's Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center joined the event, including physicians and nurses who had an opportunity to meet with guests and speak about the work being done for children and families in the community.
Among those addressing attendees was Jonathan Teitelbaum, MD, Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Chief of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at The Unterberg Children's Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center. RWJBarnabas Health also identifies Dr. Teitelbaum as Medical Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology for the health system.
Having members of the pediatric team there gave supporters an opportunity to hear directly from the people working with children and families every day and to better understand the impact community support can have.
Where the Money Goes
Proceeds from the TaxKing Fundraiser support efforts addressing food insecurity and access to nutritional resources for local children and families through The Unterberg Children's Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center.
The initiative works to connect eligible individuals and families with resources such as SNAP benefits and other food-access programs, with the broader objective of reducing hunger and improving access to nutritious food.
For Cars & Social, that connection between every donation and a local family in need has remained at the heart of the fundraiser.

Following remarks from the pediatric team, it was time to give something back to the people who came out to support the event.
Thanks to an incredible group of local businesses, Cars & Social was able to hold 16 raffles with 16 winners.

Five years into the TaxKing Fundraiser, the mission continues to grow.
The weather may not have cooperated this year, but the community did.
Sponsors contributed. Businesses donated. The Marines showed up. Doctors and nurses came to share their work. Volunteers gave their time. Guests came through the rain. And together, the community pushed past a $25,000 goal to raise $27,000 for local children and families.
